At Mineta San Jose International Airport, we have a specialized team of firefighters trained specifically to handle Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, often abbreviated as ARFF. Located just downwind from Terminal B, their specially-equipped Fire Station 20 is staffed by San Jose Fire Department personnel 24/7/365. We spent a day with a Fire Captain and his team to learn more about the station’s state-of-the-art firetrucks and what the day-to-day life is of a SJC firefighter.
