Yes, an AVI-tagged vehicle can be used for personal travel with advanced notice to the Ground Transportation Office. You must include the full time period you'll be parking at SJC along with the AVI tag number on the vehicle (E02202B4...); Your AVI tag will be disabled in order to allow proper use of the parking lot equipment. No commercial activity at SJC is permitted with the vehicle while its AVI is disabled. AVI-tagged vehicles suspected of being in the parking lots for personal use without notice are subject to administrative citation and fine.
