San José Mineta International Airport Introduces Carsharing Innovation

New amenity allows locals to offer cars by the day, week, or month at SJC

San José Calif. – (January 30, 2023): Today, San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) and Turo, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace, announce the availability of vehicle exchanges from approved areas at the Airport.

The partnership means Turo hosts can share vehicles in an airport zone designated for peer-to-peer car sharing services, enabling guests to pick up a vehicle directly after arriving at the airport. The launch of this new service at SJC offers guests a selection of vehicles, including luxury and economy options with convenient drop-off and pick-up locations around the airport.

Turo drop-offs/pick-ups are available at the following SJC locations:

• Hourly Lot 2 (Terminal A Garage)
• Economy Parking Lot
• Terminal B - Stop 2 (adjacent Stop 1) - drop-off only

Hosts on Turo can list their cars for booking at the time and price of their choice. Travelers simply enter their requested pick-up location, date and time, and are provided with photos and descriptions of available vehicles, along with details for booking.
