San José Mineta International Airport Fills Terminals with Live Music on World Make Music Day
Live performers to spend a day serenading travelers in tandem with festivities in San José and more than one thousand cities worldwide
San José, Calif. – Today, San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) will host 11 local acts who will perform at the Airport as part of the City's Make Music San José program. The program coincides with festivities in more than one thousand cities worldwide as part of Make Music Day. Performances will occur at two locations within the Airport – the Terminal A Skybridge and adjacent to the Terminal B Information Booth – between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The schedule of performances includes professional and amateur musicians and a wide range of genres, including Pop, Latin, Folk, Soul, and even Kids’ music. Each performer or group will play a 30 – 60-minute set.
“We are delighted to celebrate our City’s commitment to diversity and the arts by taking part in this international celebration of music,” said John Aitken, San José Mineta International Airport Director. “Travel provides such a wonderful way to experience music from around the world, and this is such a fun and memorable experience to share with our passengers while bringing our local and global communities together through music, right here in our terminals.”

- Sharat Lin - Dance of Peace – 1:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
- Santa Clara Valley Fiddlers Association – 5 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
- Rafael Unplugged – 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
TERMINAL B Schedule & Performers:
- Sharat Lin - Dance of Peace – 11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Velmalicious – 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- MiFaSol Band – 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
- Alan – 3:15 p.m. - 4 p.m
- The Eternity Band – 4:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.
- Sorinvibee – 6:15 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
- Sylvia Bosco – 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The Airport joins venues throughout San José, including community centers, parks, restaurants, and museums and more, that will feature performances for Make Music Day. Make Music San José is facilitated by the City of San José Office of Cultural Affairs.
