San José, Calif. – CLEAR, the secure identity company, has launched new biometric eGates at San José Mineta International Airport (SJC), enhancing and modernizing the passenger experience. Located at the TSA PreCheck® lane at Terminal B, the eGates enable CLEAR+ Members to move through security checks even faster – arriving just in time for the busy Spring Break travel season. Now available in Terminal B, the new eGates will help contribute to a more frictionless airport experience for Bay Area travelers.

With the new eGates, CLEAR+ Members can verify their identity in under five seconds and bypass the traditional TSA podium, proceeding directly to physical screening. This technology represents a significant leap forward in transforming the travel experience by making airport security faster, more seamless and more secure.

The launch at SJC builds on the successful rollout of CLEAR’s biometric eGates at nearly 40 airports nationwide and comes at a pivotal time for the Bay Area, just ahead of major global events, including the FIFA World Cup, when increased travel volume is expected.
