2026 National Aviation Week Sticker Search at SJC
Wednesday, Aug. 19 marks National Aviation Day and the beginning of National Aviation Week. While we celebrate the history and magic of aviation, we also want to celebrate and thank YOU, our beloved passengers!
For the second year in a row, we’re hosting a National Aviation Week Sticker Search in our terminals. The search will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 19, and will be available while supplies last. Follow the below clues to find and collect all 12 exclusive Ernie + Friends stickers! [Hold on, what's up with the baby chickens?]
How to Play
Read the clues below and go to the locations they're describing.
Once you think you’ve found the correct location, locate an employee working there. Tell them, “I’m here for the Sticker Search!”
If you found the correct location, they will present you with your sticker. (This is FREE. You may only receive one sticker per location per person.)
Note: The Sticker Search is only available during each location’s operating hours.
Clues
Terminal A (Post-Security)
1. With ready-to-go snacks, beverages and souvenirs, this Gate 11 store keeps passengers equipped, calm and cool. You’ll find a cool sticker here. Hudson Gate 11
2. Before you take to the skies, make yourself at home at this vibrant restaurant near Gate 12. Mi Casa Gate 12
3. Ernie has made friends across the world through his travels. Whenever he visits them, he brings unique gifts from his favorite city: San José. He often picks up local goods from this store near Gate 13. PLAZA DE SAN JOSE Gate 13
4. Do you ever drink so much coffee that you become a mermaid? Maria did. Don’t judge, she had an early flight! Swim over to this iconic cafe near Gate 13 for your sticker. Starbucks Gate 13
5. Jim is a hardworking enterprising business-chick – and that makes him tired. Whenever he’s in need of a nap during his business travels, he heads to the lounge at Gate 15. Club SJC Gate 15
Terminal B (Post-Security)
6. Minnie sure loves her cheese. Find her sticker at SJC’s very own cheesy mecca near Gate 19. San José Mac + Cheese Kitchen Gate 19
7. Have you ever had boba ON A PLANE? This new-to-SJC restaurant offers boba, rice bowls, banh mi sandwiches and more. UnBOX your sticker near Gate 19. Asian Box Gate 19
8. Did you know that this classic sundry store near Gate 21 sells Ernie + Friends plushies, keychains and socks? Collect a free sticker and show off your haul. Hudson Gate 21
9. “French fry before you fly.” -Robbie the Baby Chick
Robbie got all dressed up for this year’s Sticker Search (but we’re not sure how he’s going to fly in this getup). Grab his sticker at this Gate 22 burger joint. Smashburger Gate 22
10. The SJC baby chicks are a busy bunch, but they still managed to get their Kauai vacation plans out of the group chat and onto the runway. Before they take off, they grab snacks from this Gate 23 deli. Runway Deli Gate 23
11. This Gate 33 store is named after Ernie’s favorite flower. That flower is cheerful and bright – which is exactly how Ernie feels when he walks around the Airport, surrounded by the excitement of passengers heading off on adventures. Poppy’s Essentials Gate 33
Pre-Security
12. Baby chicks often say, “Cheep, cheep!” But when they walk across the street from Terminal B to the Rental Car Center, they say, “Beep, beep!”
Stop by ONE of the following counters to pick up your sticker: Alamo, Budget, Thrifty, Sixt OR Fox Rent A Car. (All of the counters have the same sticker. Just get one, so more people can participate.) P.S. You don’t need a plane ticket to access this location, it’s open to the public! Rental Car Center

The National Aviation Week Sticker Search is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law.
