It’s been 75 years since the very first commercial flight arrived at SJC with 2,550 baby chicks -- and those baby chicks have returned to celebrate our 75th Anniversary, with chances for you to win some prizes!
Throughout our terminals, you’ll see Ernie and his baby chick friends hanging out. There are window clings, 7-foot-tall cardboard stand-ups and one larger-than-life inflatable display.
With their arrival, we are launching the “Pic with a Baby Chick” Sweepstakes! Just take a photo with any of our baby chick displays and post it on social using #sjc75 and #PicWithABabyChick. You’ll be entered for a chance to win some sweet SJC 75th Anniversary commemorative swag (there may or may not be fun socks involved!).
HOW TO ENTER
Take a photo with any of the baby chick displays at San José Mineta International Airport.
Post your photo on social media, on any of the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X or TikTok. The post must be public for it to count as an entry (we can’t see private posts).
Use the hashtags “#sjc75” and “#PicWithABabyChick” in your post. Now you’re entered for a chance to win!
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Up to one (1) entry per social media platform per person. Therefore, entrants can have up to four (4) entries total (one [1] for Instagram, one [1] for Facebook, one [1] for X and one [1] for TikTok).
Open to U.S. residents only. No purchase necessary to win. Entrants must be 18 years or older. The "Pic with a Baby Chick" Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. City of San José employees, its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, and directors (collectively the “Employees”), as well as members of an Employees' immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees are ineligible to participate in the Pic with a Baby Chick Sweepstakes.
The entry period will close on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Ten (10) winners will be randomly selected by SJC. Winners will be contacted by email within 10 days. The randomly selected winners will have 48 hours to respond to SJC to claim their prize. If a winner fails to respond within the 48 hour window, that winner will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be randomly selected.
