Exotic Fruit Fly Disposal Bin

Terminal A and B Security Checkpoints

Effective September 2023, the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a fruit fly quarantine for Santa Clara County. To help reduce the spread, bright green amnesty bins can be found at both security checkpoints for disposal of any homegrown fruit prior to going through security screening. This quarantine will be in effect for the next 10 months (or shorter/longer contingent upon USDA determination).
